Ditchin work!
The other day was my birthday and so instead of work Misty and I decided to take the day off and play! We went up Big Cottonwood canyon and walked around Silver Lake and then up to Twin Lakes. I know that taking the day off just to go hike is probably not the most responsible thing. I understand that we now have a mortgage to pay, meetings to attend, etc etc. Well, we needed a break from the mundane drudgery of another work day and it turned out fantastic!

That is one of our all time favorite hikes! It looked so beautiful they day you two were up there. i hope you enjoyed it! Happy Birthday.
P.S. NEVER feel bad for taking a day off to hike with your wife!
Mmmm.....tell me how to get there cuz I feel a disease coming on right now, definitely won't be making it to work tomorrow.
