Easter and other updates

This year I would say Easter was PERFECT! First off, can anyone tell me anything better than celebrating the Atonement of our Savior than by listening to his appointed leaders in General Conference! I love the Spirit that permeates the home as we are fed spiritually from each one of them! As tradition goes, we went to Kyle's for our Grandma's fantastic Easter Party. Each year Grandma gives us all a carton of Easter Eggs to color. After we color them we grab lunch and then come back for the Easter hunt. Grandma spoils us all with mounds and mounds and mounds of treats! Lisa makes her yummy cupcakes... and we just pig out! It's so much fun! It's one of my favorite traditions ever!

Sunday we just stayed home and watched Conference. It was such a relaxed day. We didn't focus much on the Bunny side of it all. Ryan and I are going to get an outfit and we did get Cayson a toy and book but it wasn't the focus. I loved that we just got to sit back relax and focus on the true meaning of that special day. That evening we had Ryan's brother over for our Ham dinner. It was fun hanging with Randy and the food was yummy if I may say so myself! How grateful I am that we have these kind of days to spend with those we love most and reflect on what our Savior has done for us. I am so grateful for Him and his Love and Sacrifice for each one of us. I feel so blessed to have a knowledge of this!

Cayson's Updates We went to visit Dr Bean last week. Cayson is now 13.5 lbs and 26 inches long. His weight went down to the fifty percentile but his height puts him up in the ninety percentile. Never in a million years did I think my short little self would have a tall kid. Thank goodness the Rhodes have some tall genes! For the most part he is just a happy healthy kid. He had to get his shots. I hate that part! He always does so good though! He cries for a minute or so after he gets them but then it's like it doesn't even phase him.

Cayson is getting really good with his hands. He no longer bats at his toys but uses his little fingers to try and pick up things. He then takes them straight to his mouth where they become permanently marked with his gallons of saliva. His favorite toys are his little Lion, Monkeys, and his new Easter Frog. He loves to read books. He loves Baby Einstein and will just sit and watch with eyes opened bigger than is healthy all the while laughing, screaming, and smiling. We actually had to ground him from Einstein because he loves it so much that he would get overstimulated and not sleep. Instead he would just cry the rest of the day. That little Rascal, who knew a four month old would actually need grounding?!? Cayson has tried a few foods thanks to Daddy including carrots, apple, and mashed potato. He's not quite sure what to do with the food yet he just sorta spits it out but it's fun to watch him try. I think my favorite thing about him still is watching him grow and try to communicate with us. I love watching him use his baby talk and stare into our eyes to try and convey his wants, dreams, and desires. I'm just so grateful that I am lucky enough to be his mom!

Cayson's Favorite Lion!

Whenever Cayson falls asleep in his chair he is holding these rings. It's his security blanket!

I LOVE those pics. He is so stinkin cute! I love the one of him asleep holding the rings and the one on his belly in the red. I Love him and am so glad I got to see him this last weekend. Too bad we couldn't all get together.

Is your pediatrician really named Dr. Bean? If so, that's awesome.
