6 Months Already?!?

Cayson turned 6 months on Friday the 28^th. Where has time gone? Before we know it he will be driving, dating, and graduating. We have really enjoyed having this sweet little guy in our family!

He has developed quite a personality lately! It is so fun! He loves to laugh and smile, especially at Daddy. His new thing is he eats for a bit, stops, tilts his head until he finds dad and just smiles. Then he goes on eating for a bit and then repeats his routine. He loves to be tossed all about. Loves to be upside down! Apparently he even loves teasing. Last night I was putting him to bed and I tried to give him his bink… he put it to one side and bit down and then spit it out. Then he did that on the other side. Then he just smiled at me as if to say… ha ha mom… I'm teasing you! Then he took the bink. Little rascal!

Cayson loves to be outside. As I already mentioned he was in his first 5k a couple of weeks ago. We took him on his first hike the week before that. He loved looking at everything and was full of smiles the entire time. I'm excited to have him already involved in these types of things and so excited that he loves them! He will fit perfectly into this family!

Cayson has now tried all sorts of new foods including banana, sweet potato, pickle, mango, and oatmeal. He is not sure what he thinks about mango, but I'm pretty sure from the "cucka" noise he makes, the faces he pulls, and then spitting it out indicates that he has a great distaste for them! He loves bananas, but unfortunately right now he is allergic to them. Poor little guy got a rash all over his back from them. (Of course the bananas happened to be on sale so I loaded up and froze them and this ended up being the fruit he was allergic to! Murphy's law.) His all new FAVORITE food though would have to be pickles! We gave him one the other day to keep him quiet while we ate and he devoured it.

Cayson is really good at meal time. We have taught him that he needs to put his hands to his side while he eats. He is pretty good at keeping them there too! He is such a quick little learner and such a good boy!

My new favorite thing Cayson does is "sing". We were driving in the car the other day and had our usual Classical music playing. He started "singing" along with it. At first I thought he was starting to whine but quickly realized that it was just him enjoying the music! Cayson has always had a love for music, even when I was pregnant with him. Whenever I would turn on the music, he would start a kicking.

I think that about covers it. He will have his six month check up tomorrow. So stay tuned for updates.
