Pioneer Day

I'm pretty sure Pioneer day has been one of my top most favorite days this summer. We started out by going to the Days of 47 Parade. I love parades! I love the fun crowds and how happy everybody is! I love that it is something a little bit different than any other day of the year. My sweet husband on the other hand hates parades but was willing to join us anyway!

We saw so many cute floats and fun bands.

We only stayed for about an hour because Cayson got so tired and cranky and Ryan's feet were quickly burning to a crisp. Despite that it still was such a fun morning!

After Cayson came home and had a good nap we went to the pool! This is quickly becoming a favorite summer activity at the Rhodes' house. It's so fun to soak up some rays… watch Cayson splash around… and see Ryan's awesome dives!

That evening we went over to Mom and Dad Rhodes for a BBQ! We love spending time with them and the food was awesome! There is nothing like Ron's awesome dutch oven potatoes and yummy hamburgers!

 

Oh yeah… I cannot forget to add… Cayson got his first tooth that day! (and two more within that week!) He now has little chompers! You know I had always been dreading the time he would begin to get his teeth because everybody says they are so miserable from the pain. This has been so easy though. Cayson has never even complained for a second. He's such a sweet little guy!
